  The Recon Platoon Sergeant  in 66-67 was SFC Dwight Zimmerman.  Zimmerman had lots of experience, spent time in both  Special Forces and the 173rd prior to his assignment with Delta.  He was a highly respected leader.  Stephen Chestnut and Dwight Zimmerman got together 23 June 2018 and exchanged stories of their exploits in Vietnam.  Here are some photos of Dwight Zimmerman provided by Stephen Chestnut .  
Dwight was in every Army Airborne unit at one time or another.
